Pretty impressive, right? But for everyday usage, here’s the practical side of things.

Huawei Mate 20 Pro’s battery life is outstanding. When used heavily, it can last up to 35 hours from fully charged to zero. But when not used so heavily, it can last up to 48 hours. The phone also had both power saving or ultra power saving modes, meaning you can make it last for three days without charging if necessary.

Let’s talk about charging. Via its cable, this phone can get fully charged in under one hour. In 13 minutes, the phone already hits 30 percent. Wirelessly it takes a little bit longer.

Because of Huawei’s new Kirin 980 processor, users of the Mate 20 Pro report no lag with opening apps or switching from one app to another. The phone is said to stay cool even when users play games continuously for half an hour.

Like other phones, this one has wellbeing apps that show your length of phone usage. And when speaking of security, the Mate 20 Pro comes with not just one but two biometrics. It has a 3D IR face-scanning system as well as an optical fingerprint sensor. The facial recognition technology unlocks the phone, and fingerprint scanner unlocks apps for the second level of security.

Finally, we come to the camera, and the Mate 20 Pro has three that work beautifully together. The primary one has 40 megapixels, the ultra-wide has 20-megapixels and the telephoto camera has eight megapixels. When used together, they can take 10-megapixel images with fantastic options for zooming.

One more advantage, this camera takes excellent selfies, offers 3D live emojis, and has great low-light performance.

And the price? The Huawei Mate 20 Pro comes in at S$1,348. This is not too bad, considering that the iPhone XS Max starts at S$1,649. The Galaxy S9+ starts at $1,348 as well but could go up to $1,498 with additional storage.
