Based on the comic book Would You Like a Cup of Coffee, this series has a simple theme. It revolves around Kang Go Bi played by Ong Seong Wu who wants to get a job at a coffee shop despite Park Seok (Park So Han) not needing a worker. This heartwarming series will definitely lift your spirits.
2. Coffee Prince
This cutesy story is about tomboy Go Eun Chan played by Yoon Eun Hye who gets a part-time job at a coffee shop run by Choi Han Kyul (Gong Yoo). This story has an interesting twist, Han Kyul falls in love with Eun Chan thinking she’s a boy and Eun Chan finds it hard to tell him that she’s actually a girl. It’s a real gender-bender of a story.
3. Café Kilimanjaro
This story is about a band that is trying to make it big. They fail, but reunite years later and rent out a coffee shop, so they have a space to practice. This story has a nice blend of K-pop and the café culture, offering comfort and romance. It’s also a breezy watch with only 10 episodes in the series with Kwon Hyun Bin and Nahyun in the lead.
4. Café Minamdang
This ‘clairvoyant’ story has Seo In Guo playing Nam Han Jun, a charlatan who pretends to tell fortunes at Café Minamdang. In comes, detective Han Jae Hee (Oh Yeon Seo) who wants to do the right thing but starts to develop feelings for Nam Han Jun. What makes this story really fun are the other workers at the café who are highly entertaining.
- Mama Fairy and the Woodcutter
This fantasy drama is based on a webtoon. You will have to stretch your imagination a fair bit to accept this story. The plot is about a fairy who married a woodcutter who dies. She lives to be 699 years old and is currently waiting for her husband to be reincarnated. In the meantime, she works as a barista in a café and talks to plants. The series is fairly entertaining as there are two love interests who could potentially be the reincarnation she is looking for. Moon Chae Won plays the fairy who appears young and beautiful to humans despite her age.
