You probably have heard of Chinese YouTuber Office Ms Yeah if you followed viral YouTube videos. Before this, her videos about making food in the office used to be very popular.

Unfortunately, her popularity went downhill after an incident that ended badly for two young girls. Ms Yeah’s (real name: Zhou Xiao Hui) viewers went from millions to mere thousands after the incident happened.

Ms Yeah was unable to regain the same popularity she had before this. Nevertheless, she seems happy with her life now. Ms Yeah recently tied the knot with her longtime boyfriend. The YouTuber encountered a serious incident thanks to one of her videos in 2019. Two young girls, aged 12 and 14 had tried to follow instructions in one of her videos to make popcorn. Ms Yeah used beer cans instead of the usual equipment in the video, as reported by Hype.my.

Unfortunately, it backfired on the two girls when an explosion caused the 14-year-old to die from serious injuries while the 12-year-old was severely burned. The YouTuber was accused of negligence but she stated that she had put warnings to deter viewers from imitating her videos. Ms Yeah compensated the families but regretfully, the damage to her reputation was too severe. Following the incident, her video views dropped.

There were some times she achieved a few million views on a few videos but she has not managed to reach the same numbers as before the incident. It has been two years since the incident and Ms Yeah has certainly bounced back from it.

On 1st November, Ms Yeah announced the news about the wedding on Weibo. “This day is comfortable for us, so naturally (we love it).” she wrote. “Thank you for your blessings, keep going wild!” She included several photos of the wedding which looks like it took place at the beach. Many netizens congratulated her in the comments and wished her well in the next chapter of her life.

It may appear that Ms Yeah has moved on but she clearly has not forgotten about the incident. She continues to apply warnings on her videos and maintain creativity in her content. /TISG
