SINGAPORE: In an Instagram post, local artist Ya Hui shared that she’s Covid-19 positive. Despite the rampant pandemic for the past three years, Ya Hui shocked everyone by admitting that this was the first time she had acquired the virus. 

Ya Hui stated in her post caption [translated in English]: “After running away for three years, I still can’t escape.” She followed up the caption with hashtags: #first, #deepline, #reallypositive.

The photo posted by Ya Hui clearly shows the two lines indicating that she is indeed positive. 

Netizens expressed their thoughts on her post through the comments section. 

Artist Romeo Tan asked: “First?! Have you been to the moon in the past three years?”, which Ya Hui jokingly replied with: “I’ve been on the moon all the time. Just God wants me to feel the taste of Covid-19 in mortals. Sure enough, very unusual.”

One IG user declared: “Looks like I’m the only survivor. Please take care of yourself.” 

Another IG user mentioned: “Take care… for a second I thought…”, which Ya Hui replied with: “😂😂😂 That’s positive news too 😂😂😂” 

Many other users wished Ya Hui a good rest and gave her their get well soon messages.
