No doubt about it, but Kim Lim knows how to party. The heiress threw a big birthday bash for herself and her young son Kyden at Sentosa with the theme “Kandy Karnival” on Saturday (July 23).
Ms Lim, who got married earlier this year, turned 31, while little Kyden turned 5.

The daughter of Singaporean business magnate Peter Lim took to Instagram to share photos of the bash. She appeared to channel her inner Barbie in an all-pink outfit, mid-calf boots, and a high ponytail, and Kyden was dressed as Ash from Pokemon, complete with a red cap and blue jacket.
Reports say the celebration was a lavish one indeed, with “a 30-feet tall 1,000kg castle, 3,000-feet drapes, 72 rainbow doors, 10,000 toys and balloons”—a set-up which took 10 days to build at The Barracks Hotel Sentosa.
The affair was a star-studded one, with celebrities such as Zoe Tay, Aileen Tan, and influencers—including Xiaxue—in attendance.
Xiaxue, a longtime friend of the heiress, appeared to find the bash incredible.
“It was the most ridiculous birthday party 😱😱😱 I mean you’d think that after attending years of trademark Kim Lim birthday parties I’d be used to it but no, still blew my mind!!! 😅 Still editing the pics so I’ll post more tomorrow but meanwhile you guys can go see my ig stories before they expire! It’s insane!!”, ,
Commenters however seemed to feel Ms Lim’s over-the-top party was too much, especially in these times, when inflation is high and times are hard for many.
To be fair, the heiress, who has had philanthropic efforts in the past, shared her blessings the following day.
“I am bursting with all your love, and will share the joy with other children. My Kandy Karnival is open today to selected charities, I hope everyone has a fun time!!”
Moreover, she pledges that “I will continue to become a better person for everyone around me and for those who support me, continue to grow my sharing spirit. Thank you so much everyone. Big big love from Kyden and I ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️” /TISG
