Singapore — Another case of a peeping tom is circulating online, with a mallgoer glancing up from her toilet cubicle to see a man looking down at her. The incident led to a chase, with the woman losing track of the suspect.
“Please beware of this man. I was peeing alone in the female toilet when I heard heavy breathing and someone stepping on the toilet seat,” said the concerned individual in a Facebook post on Sunday (Jan 9).
“I then felt like someone was looking at me, so I looked around and saw this man looking at me from on top of my cubicle,” said the woman.
She noted that the moment her eyes met the man’s, he stepped down from the toilet seat.
The woman exited her cubicle and waited outside the washroom for about five minutes to confront the man and his actions.
When the man came out of the toilet, the woman confronted him, yet the man denied her allegations and ran away.
“I tried to chase him, but he was running too fast,” she said in her post. “This happened in Pasir Ris area. If you do see him, please be alert!” she added.
She attached a video of the confrontation, with the woman accusing the man of peeping into her cubicle.
The man curtly denied her statements and began to walk away. He broke out into a run when the woman followed him, shouting, “You peep my toilet, don’t go!”
The chase continued all the way until the man ran through an exit and into a multi-storey carpark.
Members from the online community advised the woman to file a police report and inform the shopping mall management, submitting her footage as evidence.
Others also suggested she could acquire footage from the mall’s closed-circuit television cameras to help track the man. /TISG
