Having a pet is a lifelong responsibility, and those who abandon them are deemed unfit to have a pet in the first place.
Such was the case for a woman who allegedly abandoned a cat inside a pram in a car park on West Coast.
Facebook page Lost and found pets in Singapore member Moo PL posted on June 16 that someone had pushed a pram near her car and left it there.
She discovered a tabby cat sitting meekly inside.
Moo PL posted a photo, which appeared to have been taken by an in-vehicle camera, of a woman pushing the pram.
She also revealed in a comment that her dashcam caught the woman walking away after leaving the pram.
“I can’t take the cat home as I have a dog. Please advise/help!” added the concerned individual.
Fortunately, the feline’s story ended on a good note as a relative of Moo PL had fallen in love with the tabby cat while they waited for the Animal and Veterinary Services to respond to the incident.
She confirmed that her relative would be adopting the cat.
“I have no doubt she will be in good hands,” said Moo PL. “We think she was once a community cat cause her ear is clipped. She is well-fed and very comfortable with humans,” she added.
Meanwhile, others advised Moo PL to report the incident of cat abandonment and submit the photo as evidence./TISG
