“Wearing the Make America Great Again hat makes me feel like Superman” – Kanye West to President Trump

One of US President Donald Trump’s most famous celebrity supporters Kanye West visited the President at the White House today and revealed the extent of his admiration for the head of government.

Both sides exchanged praise and compliments in the meeting at the Oval Office, that was covered by the media.

West kicked off the free-wheeling discussion by praising Trump’s efforts in bringing denuclearization and stability to North Korea that officially began during the President’s historic summit with North Korean leader Kim Jong-Un in July.

Praising Trump for accomplishing what his predecessor Barack Obama couldn’t do, West said: “On day one you solved one of [Obama’s] biggest troubles. We solved one of the biggest problems.”

During the unprecedented US-North Korea summit in July, former basketball star Dennis Rodman – who is known to be a good friend of Kim – alleged that Kim had wanted to talk peace during Obama’s tenure but that Obama brushed such opportunities aside.

Like Rodman, West is among a very small number of American celebrities who openly support current President Trump.

Discussing the lack of support he received from Hollywood over his approval of Trump and his decision to wear the famous “Make America Great Again” hat in interviews and at a recent appearance on “Saturday Night Live,” West said:

“They tried to scare me to not wear this hat…When I put this hat on, it made me feel like Superman – my favorite superhero. You made a Superman cape for me.”

At one point, West even exclaimed that he loved the President and ran around the Resolute desk to hug him.

West’s gestures led the President to chime in with his own words of praise for the artist. As the President complimented, “I tell you what, that was pretty impressive. That was quite something,” West responded, “It was from the soul. I just channeled it.”

Trump, who is known for speaking his mind, added: “He can speak for me any time he wants, he’s a smart cookie. He gets it.”

When asked about West’s past declarations about running for the presidency in the future, Trump said he believes West “could very well be” candidate material, prompting West to add, “Only after 2024.”
