According to the Chinese newspaper Shin Min Daily News, the incident happened on May 22 at about 1:13 am at Drunk Skunk, a bar on Circular Road.

“After breaking free from his friend, he picked up two glasses from the table and smashed them,” said the bar manager, who called the police. The man also swung at another individual with broken glass, causing a superficial cut on the victim’s left elbow.

He was eventually arrested for voluntarily causing harm through dangerous means and using threatening language against a public servant, reported Shin Min Daily News.

Police investigations are ongoing.

“The SPF (Singapore Police Force) officer was composed and assertive in her instructions. While being hurled with expletives, she continued to remain professional,” noted Instagram user aravind_krishnamoorthyy in a comment.

“It is heartening to see that she was able to stand her ground to a person who was bigger in size than her. ‘This is not UK; this is Singapore” kinda reminded me of “This is SPARTA.’ Fierce yet professional! Thank you, SPF for keeping us safe,” he added. /TISG
