Epic Oscars moment

A post from the Academy stated, “Three global superstars. One epic Oscars moment. Doja Cat, LISA of BLACKPINK, and RAYE take the stage for a show-stopping celebration of cinema,” hinting at what is expected to be one of the event’s most memorable performances.

Additionally, this marks the first time a K-pop artist will perform at the Oscars.

Set for Sunday, Mar 2, 2025, at Los Angeles’ renowned Dolby Theatre, the Oscars will be hosted by comedian and TV personality Conan O’Brien.

The event will be streamed on Hulu and televised live on ABC. Besides this highly anticipated performance, the evening will feature a lineup of presenters, nominees, and musical acts celebrating the year’s best films.

The announcement follows Lisa’s recent musical return.

Evident chemistry

On Feb 7, 2025, she released her highly anticipated single Born Again, featuring Doja Cat and RAYE. The song, accompanied by a visually stunning music video, received widespread acclaim. With their evident chemistry in Born Again, fans eagerly await how they will translate their energy to the Oscars stage.

Their performance is set to be a landmark moment, blending different musical styles into a global celebration of cinema. Whether they perform Born Again or deliver an entirely new spectacle, their presence is expected to be a major highlight of the 2025 Academy Awards.

Lalisa Manobal is a Thai rapper, singer, dancer, and actress who goes by Lisa. She is a member of BLACKPINK, a South Korean girl group that made their debut in August 2016 under the banner of YG Entertainment.
