Tan Cheng Bock flanked by new party members; meets PAP MPs at Ayer Rajah yet again

Chief of Progress Singapore Party (PSP), Dr Tan Cheng Bock, had yet another run-in with People’s Action Party (PAP) Members of Parliament (MPs) Mr S. Iswaran and Ms Foo Mee Har.

Dr Tan announced on his social media page that he not only attended the Festival of Chariots at Hougang Stadium last Sunday (June 30), he also attended a celebration at Sheng Hong temple.

He duly noted that Sheng Hong temple was located at his old constituency of Ayer Rajah. Dr Tan also said that he met Minister Iswaran and MP Foo Mee Har there.

Mr S Iswaran, the Minister for Communications and Information, serves as an MP for West Coast GRC along with Foo Mee Har.

Dr Tan made his entry into politics in the 1980 general election under the PAP, and became the Member of Parliament (MP) for the Ayer Rajah Single Member Constituency (SMC).

At the dinner at Sheng Hong temple, Dr Tan shared photos of how he was seated next to Mr Iswaran and Ms Foo.

The slew of photos posted by Dr Tan showed him walking up to the event surrounded by possible new party members such as Brad Bowyer.

Bowyer initially served as Lim Tean’s Shadow Minister for National Development at People’s Voice Party, but abruptly left the party on March 24 just days after the announcement of his position.

That very day, Ms Foo also shared photos on her Facebook page where she attended the Hari Raya Adilfitri celebration at Ayer Rajah CC. She wrote, “Our month-long Hari Raya Adilfitri celebration ended at a high note at Ayer Rajah CC last evening with a wonderful community event!”
