Singapore —  A youth’s online criticism of Singaporean girls as “ungroomed” compared with Americans sparks backlash, with netizens saying he should first take a look at himself.

A TikTok user by the name of David Rosal posted a clip of himself saying: “Basically, right, I feel like American girls, they know how to groom themselves better and make themselves look more presentable. It doesn’t matter what race it is, like white, black, Hispanic, Asian…dude, they know how to… it’s not even makeup… they can take care of themselves better.”

“It’s beginning to look a lot like Christmas!” wrote Singapore-based non-profit organisation ItsRainingRaincoats (IRR) on Facebook on Tuesday (Dec 21).

OMICRON: S’pore freezes new VTL bookings until Jan 20, 2022 to limit exposure to imported cases

 

Singapore — Beginning Thursday (Dec 23) until Jan 20, 2022, all new ticket sales for vaccinated travel lane (VTL) flights and bus journeys will be suspended, said the Ministry of Health (MOH).

“To limit our exposure to imported Omicron cases, we will impose limits on the number of VTL arrivals for the time being,” said MOH in a press release on Wednesday (Dec 22).
