LOVE SURVEY: 92% Singaporeans say the top attractive quality in someone they seek a relationship with is their ability to manage money well

A new survey shows that more than nine out of 10 Singaporeans feel that how well a person handles money determines how attractive they are as a long-term partner.

Yes, money matters when it comes to love.

The survey, carried out by Coffee Meets Bagel, a dating app, together with Syfe, an investment platform, is aptly called Love Meets Money.

The news that there was no timeline yet for taking over as Prime Minister came as a bit of a surprise to netizens, especially when Lawrence Wong said his focus for now “is thinking about organising the team of Singapore’s leaders and to become familiar with his own expanded role”.

Deputy Prime Minister and Finance Minister Lawrence Wong said on Monday (Aug 15) that there were two possible scenarios for when the leadership transition could take place.

Phoon Chiu Yoke, or ‘Badge Lady’ as she has been adoringly nicknamed by fans and followers alike, was spotted at ION Orchard once again doing what she does best – not wearing a mask indoors.

The 55-year-old was spotted at the mall without a mask on Wednesday (Aug 17) by netizens. In a 13-second clip posted online by a netizen by the name of Charlie Tan, Phoon was seen strolling past F&B establishments in her signature blue blouse and red bag.

Couple makes a cool $3.7 million profit in just 5 months after selling Kitchener Road shophouse which they bought last year

Two things are important when it comes to real estate investments—location and timing. This came true for one couple, who recently sold a shophouse they bought last year for $8 million, which means they’ve flipped it at an 86 per cent profit on their purchase.

The couple, Mr Aaron Wan and his wife had bought the shophouse at 147 Kitchener Road last year for $4.3 million, Edegprop reported on Aug 15, with the transaction completed in January. But by July, the property had been sold again for $8 million.

Woman finds worms in Yong Tau Foo, says ‘NOOO OMG’ to 90-cent refund from foodpanda

When one woman was offered a refund of $0.90 because her hot pot order had worms in it, she wrote, “NOOO. OMG.”

Ms Carolyn Cess posted screenshots of the text exchange on Facebook, along with a video and photos of two worms in her takeaway order from Piao Xiang Mala Hotpot Yong Tau Foo.
