Sonia Chew nominated as Best Host/Presenter at the 27th Asian Television Awards

Sonia Chew, a 30-year-old DJ at Mediacorp’s Radio 987, has secured a nomination as Best Host/Presenter – Digital for the podcast Men Explain S2 at the 27th Asian Television Awards. 

The Celebrity Agency – Mediacorp’s talent acquisition agency – expressed their heartfelt congratulations to the radio presenter through an Instagram post. 

Heartiest congratulations to @soniachew on your nomination (Men Explain S2) as Best Host / Presenter – Digital for 27th Asian Television Awards! Slayyyy!🔥Wishing you all the best!✨” the post stated. 

People showed their support to the radio presenter by adding congratulatory messages to the Instagram post:

Alongside Sonia Chew, other nominees for the Best Host/Presenter-Digital category are Karan Johar from India, Catriona Gray from the Philippines, Danny Yeo, Darren Lim, and Zhong Kunhua from Singapore as well.

Her podcast, Men Explain, discovers and discusses alternative male perspectives in daily conversations regarding feminine struggles. 

Asian Television Awards is the largest entertainment, content, and broadcast awards in the Asia Pacific. The Live Show will happen on December 1, 2022, Thursday. 

Sonia Chew hosts the show The Shock Circuit with Joakim Gomaz every Monday to Friday from 6-10AM. With almost 7 years of experience as a radio and television presenter and personality, she improved and grew her branding with her unique style and enthusiastic outgoing. She is also an ambassador for specific brands.

Furthermore, she hosted the award-winning travel series, TravelSSBD, who won the gold award for best online series in 2016/2017. In this series, Sonia travels around the continent of Asia to experience a one-of-a-kind travel experience provided by BeMyGuest – Asia’s leading provider for tours and activities. What made the show exciting was that Sonia knew where she would go, but did not have even the slightest idea of what she was bound to do in a specific place.

Besides being a radio host and TV personality, she is also a businesswoman who opened her restaurant in 2019. She enjoys breakfast drives over the weekends and is a snowboarder when she has free time.
