Singapore ― A woman was spotted standing in the middle of the road along Lavender Street directing traffic, sparking mixed reactions from netizens.

On Thursday (Oct 14), Facebook page ROADS.sg shared a video with the caption “Self-appointed Traffic Police?”

The video, initially posted by Beh Chia Lor – Singapore Road Facebook page, showed a woman dressed in a coral dress facing incoming vehicles near Anytime Fitness Boon Keng.

At one point, the woman gestured to her right while a white vehicle manoeuvred around her as she was in the middle of the road.

She then raised both her arms up as vehicles tried to pass by her.

Members from the online community expressed concern about the woman’s health, hoping she would be identified and assisted by loved ones.

“Is sad to see people are too stress till they don’t know what are they doing,” said Facebook user PS Lee Eric.

Others noted she might be filming a TikTok video or achieving her childhood dream.

Meanwhile, it was highlighted among the comments that this was not the first time the woman was spotted engaged in such activities.

“Not again? She recently did the same at the road opposite Kallang Community Centre and was escorted by the police,” commented Facebook user Cecilia Raj. /TISG
