Netizen: Tan Tock Seng Hospital so big, only got 1 pharmacy. Waited 2 hours to take medicine. Whole pharmacy crowded. Really waiting to get Covid

Netizen Goh Lay Eng expressed her disbelief that Tan Tock Seng Hospital (TTSH), though  “so big”, has only one pharmacy to prescribe a painkiller for her. She had to wait for nearly two hours in the crowded TTSH pharmacy to get her prescription, she wrote in a post on the Facebook group, Complaint Singapore.

In her post, she said, “Crazy the hospital so big only got one pharmacy to prescribe the medicine for inpatient and out patient . Waited nearly two hour to take one stupid pain killer medicine and the whole pharmacy is crowed with people. Really waiting to get Covid.”

When asked by another netizen why she didn’t opt for the Pill Delivery service that Tan Tock Seng Hospital offers, she said, “control drug not allow for home delivery”.

Tan Tock Seng hospital offers a Pill Delivery service, so you can order your medication online and have it delivered to you. The hospital website states you are eligible for Pill Delivery if:

  • You have prescriptions from Tan Tock Seng Hospital or National Neuroscience Institute
  • You do not have any controlled drug
  • You have at least 2 weeks’ worth of medication left at home

Other netizens shared their views about Tan Tock Seng Hospital having only one pharmacy and the fear of getting Covid-19 from the hospital. One of them also experienced waiting a long time for medication at the TTSH pharmacy.
