Amos Yee groomed girl, 14, for child porn, gets 6 years’ jail and may be deported back to Singapore

 

Singapore — Controversial blogger and vocal pro-paedophilia activist Amos Yee was given a six-year jail sentence on Thursday (Dec 2) in the United States.

Yee, 23, had previously pleaded guilty to two charges of child pornography and grooming. He had solicited and exchanged nude photos with a girl from Texas who was only 14 at the time.

Singapore — “Baby must also wear mask, ok,” said a woman caught on camera scolding a fellow MRT passenger for not making her baby wear a mask.

“Local Karen wants the baby to wear mask,” Facebook page Singapore Incidents reported on Thursday (Dec 2).

Cyclist distracted by what’s on his mobile phone slams into stationary car

Singapore — The accident captured on the car camera looked so perfect as if it had been choreographed for a road safety video on what not to do on the road. But it was all real!

The car’s rearview camera catches a cyclist holding his mobile phone and using it instead of paying attention to where he was heading.

MOH: People with 2 Sinovac, Sinopharm jabs, need 3rd to be considered ‘fully vaccinated’

Singapore — About 70,000 people who have already taken two doses of the Sinovac-CoronaVac or Sinopharm Covid-19 vaccines and are eligible for a third are being reminded by the Health Ministry (MOH) to get their third jab before Dec 31, so that they can continue to be considered fully vaccinated.

MOH said in a press release on Thursday, Dec 2, it was sending out notifications by SMS to the 70,000 who had already received their second dose of Sinovac or Sinopharm vaccines three months ago to get the third by Dec 31, so that they qualify as fully vaccinated from Jan 1, 2022.

PSCF: ‘Give-A-Treat’ 2-fold aim — Help low-income families & hawkers hard hit by the pandemic

Singapore — In this season of giving, the Progress Singapore Community Fund (PSCF) is zeroing in on helping not one but two vulnerable groups who have been made even more vulnerable by the pandemic: low-income families as well as Singapore’s beloved hawkers.

PSCF, a charity registered with the Social and Family Development Ministry and chaired by Mr Francis Yuen, will launch its website, www.pscfund.org.sg, on Saturday (Dec 4) at 11 am at Block 376 Bukit Batok Street 31, Hong Kah Food Place.
