Lee Hwa, who shared the footage from the accident on social media yesterday, wrote: “Little kid upstairs fell down.” He indicated that the incident occurred on Sunday morning.

According to citizen-journalism portal Stomp, the boy is a two-year-old who plummeted 11 floors down from his flat, after possibly falling off a “stool located near the washing area of his family’s flat that he usually climbs onto to brush his teeth.”

The publication added that the boy’s parents were asleep when the accident occurred and found that their son was not home when they awoke. They were only alerted to the incident when they saw the crowd gathered below their block.

The police, who were alerted to the incident at 10am yesterday, revealed that the boy was conveyed to KK Women’s and Children’s Hospital. The toddler miraculously survived the fall.
