Seoul — Look out for a tense love triangle to form on Hometown Cha-Cha-Cha! Starring Shin Min Ah as Yoon Hye Jin, a dentist who moves from Seoul to the seaside village of Gongjin and Kim Seo Ho as Hong Doo Shik, an odd-job expert who helps everyone in town, Hometown Cha-Cha-Cha is a new tvN romance drama and a remake of the film Mr.Hong.

Spoiler alert!

Lee Sang Yi made his first appearance as Ji Sung Hyun, a famous variety show producing director in the previous episode of the drama. He happened to know Yoon Hye Jin from school. Prior to Ji Sung Hyun’s unexpected arrival in Gongjin, Mi Sun (played by Gong Min Jung) pointed the producing director out in a magazine article to Hye Jin by saying that “You used to like him.”

Yoon Hye Jin denied it but the incident left the audience wondering what kind of history the two characters formerly had. Hometown Cha-Cha-Cha’s newly released stills for the next episode show a sneak peek of the personality of Ji Sung Hyun who will wind up entangled in a love triangle with Yoon Hye Jin and Hong Doo Shik. Ji Sung Hyun is a talented producing director who makes a hit out of every program he works on, as reported by Soompi.

He is also cheery and approachable and he thinks of his work as play and co-workers as friends. Nevertheless, despite his seemingly perfect personality, Ji Sung Hyun gets worked up about food. He can’t help getting pissed when he is hungry and he is even angrier when he has to eat bad food. Ji Sung Hyun looks satisfied as he sits in front of a table filled with food, in the newly released stills. However, instead of eating the yummy food, he is distracted by something on his phone, raising the question of what could keep this normally voracious eater from his food.

Lee Sang Yi teased, “Starting with Sung Hyun’s arrival, a more varied and unique romance story will begin to unfold. I think you can safely look forward to finding out what kind of relationship Hye Jin and Sung Hyun have, as well as [Sung Hyun’s] chaotically cute, fun, and comic friendship with Doo Shik.”
