Singapore – Who says a woman has to follow tradition and wait for her man to propose to her when she can take things into her hands and do the bending down on knee herself?

A lady did just that when she proposed to her boyfriend on July 20 (Saturday).

For the venue, the lady chose something public, very public. In front of thousands of people, the proposal was caught on cam as it happened during the Manchester United vs Inter Milan match for the International Champions Cup at the Singapore Sports Hub.

The cameras zoomed in just in time as the lady was putting on the ring on her partner during half time.

The boyfriend, now fiancé, pulled the lady into a hug, kissed her and gave a thumbs up to the camera that broadcasted the scene in a gigantic screen.

“He said yes!” shouted the announcer.

Everyone around them applauded.

“Woo sooo sweet!! Proposal during half time #proposal #manchesterunited #icc2019,” read the caption of @ pinkypaulinluv who shared the video on her Instagram.

Manchester United beat Inter Milan 1-0 thanks to midfielder Mason Greenwood who took Ashley Young’s free-kick and scored.

The Singapore Sports Hub hit a record attendance of 52,892 attendees for the event.
