Reeves have been embraced by the video game community for his enthusiastic voiceover and motion capture work on titles such as Cyberpunk.

The Matrix actor also has been showered with praise for his down-to-earth demeanor and perceived rejection of the superficial Hollywood lifestyle.

An article titled ‘Keanu Reeves Is Too Good For This World’ was published in the New Yorker in June.

Dubbed as the ‘Internet’s boyfriend’, Reeves has a number of memes based on photographs of him going about his everyday life.

The actor’s stories have gone viral such as the incident when he helped bus fellow passengers home after their plane was forced to make an emergency landing in California.

Keanu Reeves star in the Matrix, a movie franchise about humans trapped in a virtual reality by machines and it has netted more than USD$1.6billion worldwide.

The new film is ‘set in the world of The Matrix’ according to Warner Bros but they have not specified if the new film is a direct sequel.

The original Matrix films followed a band of rebels who battled intelligent machines in a future where humans are enslaved within the Matrix — a virtual reality that resembles the contemporary world.
