Jung Ho Yeon to star in Hollywood film

Squid Game star Jung Ho Yeon will soon appear in a Hollywood film.

According to Saram Entertainment, “Jung Ho Yeon has been cast to play the lead role in The Governesses which will be directed by Joe Talbot.”

The movie is about three rebellious governesses and co-stars Lily-Rose Depp and Renate Reinsve.

Incidentally, Renate Reinsve walked away with ‘The Worst Person in the World’ award in 2021.

The film is adapted from a French novel of the same name written by Anne Serre. Its filmmaker Joe Talbot also received rave reviews for his critically acclaimed feature debut ‘The Last Black Man in San Francisco’ (2019)

Jung catapulted to stardom for her role in Squid Game last year walking away with the best TV drama actress award at the Screen Actors Guild Awards.

The South Korean who started her career as a model in 2010 is also scheduled to appear in Alfonso Cuaron’s upcoming thriller alongside Cate Blanchett.

The 27-year-old beauty was runner-up, in reality-show Korea’s Next Top model in 2013.
