BEIJING, April 1, 2015 /PRNewswire/ — Jereh Group launched its Integrated Oily Waste Solution at the first day of CIPPE, the largest petroleum exhibition in the world. The solution wins CIPPE Innovation Gold Award by showcasing Jereh’s green thinking for oil and gas development in a safe and eco-friendly way. It will not only reduce environmental risks, but also enhance recycling rate for more economic returns.

Optimized Waste Treatment, 95% Recycling Rate

Increasing oily waste has been produced with the ramping oil and gas activities, such as oil-based mud and drilling cuttings, oily pits and sludge, and oily soil. If left untreated, there will be severe soil and water pollution with large concentrations of toxins including sulfide and benzene series. Considering it and the cost, more and more oil and gas producers prefer to have an eco-friendly solution rather than the conventional method of drying or solid-liquid separation.

“Answering to the industrial challenges, Jereh solution adopts thermal adsorption technology for high-efficient separation of solid and fluid, and can achieve the best treatment performance with TPH (Total Petroleum Hydrocarbon) rate of no more than 0.022%. While the traditional one can only get TPH rate of 5% and requires a burning phase, resulting in un-recovery of oil in solids and more discharge of pollutants and toxic emissions,” said Mr. Chen Kaijun, Jereh expert in environmental management. After treatment, the waste can be reused for cement or other construction material production. And 90%~95% of base oil can be recycled directly as drilling fluid, maximizing the resources utilization and creating economic returns. Moreover, there is no need of additional water or additives during the treatment and no emission of harmful gas.

Modularized Design and Centralized Treatment

Conventionally, all the oily wastes have to be transported to a treatment station away from the well for specific processing, which costs much and cannot meet the requirements of large-scale factory production. For Jereh, it adopts modularized, skid-mounted design, so it takes only 2 days to complete onsite installation with features of mobility and flexibility, reducing transportation cost and ensuring fast redeployment. In addition, equipped with Jereh intelligent control system, the solution can achieve an efficient, centralized treatment with remote monitoring and data acquisition. “The treatment capacity of one single unit is 8t/h,” said Mr. Chen, “now it has been successfully applied in a Sichuan shale gas project and Hangzhou contaminated soil recovery project.”

Environment concerns everyone, including the oilfield environmental management. Jereh will work together with the global oil and gas partners to change those risks into profits, and contribute to a greener world for generations.
