“I’m done” — Swatch manager walks out on customers, netizens back him up calling out the customers as having “jaw-dropping entitlement”

A video of an Omega Swatch brand manager walking out on customers after they continued to voice out their complaints about the store not having enough stock on hand after waiting in a queue for hours has gone viral.

An eight-minute-long video of a tense conversation between a brand manager of Omega Swatch and a group of tired and disappointed customers was uploaded to TikTok on Monday (March 28). The video showed the words “Brand manager of swatch walks away and says I’m done,” in the first few seconds of the clip.

“I’m sorry, we do not have enough stocks to satisfy all of the (people) who are queuing tonight,” the manager explained trying to appease the group of clearly disappointed customers in front of him, “but remember, this collection is not limited.”

The customers raised certain issues, such as why the store did not inform them earlier on that there weren’t going to be enough watches for everyone. “If you know you only have a hundred stocks, why do you allow five hundred people to come in here and waste everybody’s time?” asked one woman.

At another point in the video, a man said, “I do understand that this is not within your policy,” before stating their case as customers. “We were the ones who actually followed the queue… yes, granted we came in early, fine no problem… (but)we were ushered here… this is all about the policy… so I think this is time for service recovery.”

The customers explained that they had been waiting for hours. A few suggested that the store could take down their names and numbers and have the stocks ready for them to pick up the next day.

The brand manager said he understood where the customers were coming from. However, he also stated that he had to stick by his company’s policies. “There is really nothing much I can do. I cannot take names, I cannot take numbers… this whole thing really came as a shock to us.”

Many netizens seem to be backing the store manager, calling out the “jaw-dropping entitlement” of the customers.
