Dozens of parents #standbybeckham after Piers Morgan calls photo of David Beckham kissing his daughter “creepy”

Dozens of parents have expressed their support for retired football star David Beckham after TV personality Piers Morgan called this picture of David Beckham kissing his young daughter on the lips “creepy”:

A father of four, Beckham posted the picture on social media on 27 Nov and swiftly garnered 2.1 million “loves” on Instagram. Some, like Morgan, however found the photo controversial and have expressed their disgust over it.

Parents from all over the world, however, are standing in solidarity with Beckham.

Asserting that there is nothing wrong with a father giving a kiss to his child, parents are sharing the hashtag #standbybeckham as they post photos of themselves giving a kiss to their own children:
