Facebook user Jean Chua has reported on social media that she spotted a domestic helper behaving intimately with a man presumed to be her boyfriend, while paying no attention to her employer’s young son.

Sharing photos of the helper on Facebook, Ms Chua said that she is highlighting this matter online as she hopes to reach the little boy’s parents since she is concerned for his safety. Revealing that the incident occurred behind Punggol Primary School in Hougang, she recounted:

“I saw this domestic helper last week in the evening while I was walking my dog. I noticed that she had taken the little boy down with her to meet her boyfriend (I presume).

“She did not pay attention to the little boy who was wandering around, playing with whatever he could find on the ground. Instead, she was busy kissing, hugging and talking to her boyfriend.

“She soon noticed that I was looking at them and she quickly carry the boy and went off with her boyfriend. I was busy clearing my dog poo at that time and I lost her.”

Ms Chua, who has her children herself, asserted that she “definitely wouldn’t want such helper to take care of my kids.”

She added: “They can do whatever they want on their off day but not behaving so intimately in front of my children, and ignoring their safety. I think this is not acceptable.”

Urging those who might be familiar with the helper to highlight the matter to her employer, Ms Chua expressed concern for the child and said: “Last week, he might be just playing with dirt on the floor, who knows what might happen in future. It would be disastrous if he runs onto the road while no one is watching him closely.”
