Did the Sultan of Kelantan divorce his Russian wife because the baby is not his?

The Sun in the United Kingdom claims the baby of the ex-wife of Sultan Muhammad V of Kelantan is not his, casting doubt on the paternity of the couple’s only child.

The UK paper quotes Singaporean lawyer Koh Tien Hua, who in speaking on behalf of the sultan, says, “There is no objective evidence as yet as to the biological father of the child.”

The Malaysian ex-King reportedly split from his Russian model wife just weeks after their son was born. He gave up his throne in January months after marrying former Miss Moscow Rihana Oksana Gorbatenko.

He divorced her earlier this month and the news made the headlines in Malaysia though the ex-wife insisted they did not divorce.

The young Oksana is the daughter of a Russian orthopaedic surgeon, she won the Miss Moscow contest three years ago.

Reports surfaced she had had sex with male contestant Elisey Polischuk in a swimming pool, which shocked many Malaysians.

The former beauty queen has reportedly returned to Russia with the child and she posted photos of her with the baby in her arm.

Before the publication of the divorce papers, she told Malaysian newspapers, “This is an act of provocation. We have never been divorced.”

Since then, a copy of the divorce certificate has surfaced online and been confirmed to be genuine by a source of the New Straits Times.

The divorce was registered in Singapore and was done by the utterance of the word ‘Talak’ or divorce, three times. It is the most severe and irreversible form of divorce in Islam.

The Sun says the British-educated Sultan abdicated in January after the publication of revealing pictures and lurid sex claims about his new wife’s past life as a reality TV star in her homeland. -/TISG
