An old photo of the interior of the buses designed for the Nokia 5300 phone campaign has been resurfaced by an online user and seems to have sparked nostalgic sentiments from those who were able to experience riding in the extravagantly-designed mode of transport.

An online user on Tuesday (June 7) uploaded a vintage-looking photo to an online news forum, r/singapore on reddit. The image, which had an aesthetic fade, featured an elegantly furbished lined with couches instead of regular bus seats. The colour and material made the interior of the bus seem almost like a club or the interior of a limousine.

“Clubbing whole on the go,” the caption read, “Interior of a refurbished bus for the 2006 Nokia campaign.”

In response to the shared photo, other online users also paid their respects to the blast from the past in the comments section of the post. While some merely said that they rode on these refurbished buses years ago, others shared bits and pieces of information that they remember about the nostalgic image.

“I remember this campaign and I even bought one of these phones!” one wrote. “Nokia 5300. I remember being impressed that the speaker was really loud, better quality than most phones at the time.”

“One of these buses was bus 54 that went past my primary school,” another wrote, reminiscing about a happy memory. “Many of us took that bus back home and being the kids we were, we absolutely loved it when it happened to be the Nokia bus.”
