Award-winning child actress Regene Lim leaves Mediacorp

Regene Lim, a 22-year-old Mediacorp actress under The Celebrity Agency, shared that her journey with the media network has reached the finish line after four years.

In an Instagram post, she expressed how thankful she was to be part of the company, even though it was a ‘crazy journey’. 

After four years, today marks my last day with @the_celebrityagency. It’s been a crazy journey and I’m grateful for my managers and boss for all the opportunities and experiences” the departing Mediacorp actress said. 

Many Singaporeans have watched Regene grow up on the screen. She had been a child actress in dramas such as Live Again, Kinship 2, and Breakout. Since she started her acting career back in 2006, she has been recognised as the Best Young Talent for  three consecutive years at the Star Awards. 

Regene took a hiatus from acting while in secondary school but returned to the limelight when she was studying at the university. She became part of the Mediacorp family in 2018 and starred in dramas like All Around You, My Guardian Angels and Dark Angel. 

About her future, she said that “the road ahead is new and daunting”, yet she is excited to “explore more and grow in different ways”.

Other Mediacorp celebrities she had worked with commented on her post. 

Romeo Tan (@romeotan), said that he enjoyed working with Regene and wished the best for the actress’ future endeavours.

Zheng Geping (@zhenggeping) left a message saying, “Dear girl, best wishes to you on your new endeavors. God bless u always. Cheers!”. 

Regene’s fans also left several comments on her post. IG user @kailyooo exclaimed that he will be her biggest fan forever. Another IG user, @ksleyee stated that she is excited for the actress. 

There is speculation among netizens that Regene Lim will be joining another company, but regardless of what she is about to do, her fans are still willing to support her all the way.
