The video is split into six three-minute clips and was sent to 80 members of the media via a whatsapp group

Another six video clips featuring the same two men, one with an uncanny resemblance to Economic Affairs Minister Azmin Ali has appeared on Whatsapp.

They were sent to 80 members of the media who were added to a WhatsApp chat group in the wee hours of the morning today (Sept 5).

The group is called “Video Terkini Azmin (Azmin’s latest video)” and it was set up at 3.35am, says Malaysiakini.

The person who created the group added a few Pakatan Harapan ministers to the group. They are Defence Minister Mohamad Sabu, Health Minister Dr Dzulkefly Ahmad and Agriculture and Agro-based Industry Minister Salahuddin Ayub. Also in the group is Umno supreme council member Lokman Noor Adam.

The frames appear to be from the same video content that circulated among the media in a Whatsapp group in June, right after Hari Raya in Malaysia.

They also appear to be new frames, not seen before and are split into six three-minute clips.

The release of the gay-sex videos in June caused a ruckus within the party of PM-to-be Anwar Ibrahim who got into a war of words with the party deputy president, Azmin Ali.

Azmin issued a statement from his ministry to state he was the target of a nasty campaign to end his political career. He also called for an end to gutter politics.

He got the support of the Malaysian Prime Minister Tun Dr Mahathir Mohamad in this matter. The latter said he will not be dragged or used in this scandal, but he stood by the minister.

Some party and government officials called on Azmin to quit his post while police investigated the matter. But he resisted. The authorities are yet to decide on the next move in the scandal. The police have accused the leader of a party of a plot to record the videos and distribute them to the public.

The rift within the Parti Keadilan Rakyat or Justice Party of Anwar is still fresh, with party members who support Azmin still in a tiff with the party chief.

Haziq Abdullah Abdul Aziz, who was the senior private secretary to Primary Industries Deputy Minister Shamsul Iskandar Mohd Akin in June claimed he was the other man in the video.
