Angelina Jolie is proud of son for starting university

At the recent premiere of Maleficent: Mistress of Evil, Angelina Jolie was accompanied by five of her six children but one important person was missing.

The 44-year-old Hollywood actress dropped off her eldest son Maddox at university in South Korea back in August where the 18-year-old is studying biochemistry at Seoul’s Yonsei University.

The mother is feeling very proud of her son even though she is obviously missing him.

According to Entertainment Tonight as quoted by Metro, the Oscar winner said: ‘I just sent one off… I’m so proud of him. ‘I’m so excited, I feel like my world expands as their world expands. I learn so much from them and I love this stage.’

Angelina became emotional when she realised that Maddox was making sure that she was alright all while she thought she was ‘preparing him to go.’

She told USA Today: ‘He stayed with me. It was like, he wants to be with his mother. And I asked him, “Are you OK?” And he said, “Yeah I’m fine.” ‘And then I realised the entire week was all for me. He was just making sure that I was going to be OK. And he gave me a really big hug. Because he knew I needed it. ‘He knew what I needed, and he gave it to me. So I left really proud.’

Angelina was joined by the rest of her brood at the premiere of the Maleficent sequel while Maddox is off studying.

Pax, 15, Zahara, 14, Shiloh, 13, and 11-year-old twins Knox and Vivienne were on hand to support their mother at the El Capitan Theatre.

Always a bit of a fashion icon, Shiloh wore a white shirt, trousers and trainers underneath a leather jacket, while her sister Vivienne looked adorable in black overalls and a denim jacket.

Vivienne’s twin brother Knox clearly doesn’t shy away from a bit of colour, wearing a turquoise and black blazer that gave off serious gothic vibes, while Zahara opted for glam in a black strapless gown, with her hair in braids.

And while Pax didn’t pose for all the pictures with his family, he was looking super cool in a black shirt with a grey holster and statement white trainers.

Angelina adopted Maddox from Cambodia when he was seven months old; she started the process with then-husband Billy Bob Thornton but adopted him alone.

The actress later adopted Zahara aged six months from Ethiopia, with her then-partner Brad Pitt adopting both children later. Brangelina then welcomed daughter Shiloh in 2006, before Angelina adopted Pax, three, as a single parent due to Vietnamese adoption regulations not allowing unmarried couples to adopt. Angelina gave birth to her and Brad’s twins in 2008.
