Razer CEO Min-Liang Tan wants to bring Tesla’s electric cars to Singapore

After Elon Musk announced on Sunday all the countries that are getting new Tesla Superchargers, it was found out that Singapore was not on the list of those countries.

The list even includes China, Hong Kong, Japan, Korea and New Zealand, all except Singapore.

This led to Twitter user Cesare Tagliaferri (@taglia) tweeting Elon Musk, the co-founder, CEO, and product architect of Tesla, Inc.
He said, “Please do something to allow us in Singapore to get a Tesla! I have been dreaming of one for years…”

Surprisingly, Elon Musk himself replied saying, “We tried, but Singapore govt is not supportive of electric vehicles”.

This led to debates not only on Twitter but also on other forum sites such as Quora.

The CEO of Razer, Min-Liang Tan, jumped in on all the action and replied to Elon Musk’s tweet, saying that he has placed his order for a Tesla 3 in Singapore.

He tweeted, “I have a Model 3 on order in Singapore. Let me know what we need to do to move things along.”

To this, Musk replied as well, “Thanks for offering to help. I will check with my team.”

Min-Liang Tan then said, “Awesome! Your team has been in touch. Let’s hope we get those Model 3s on the roads in Singapore soon!”

It seems as if there is indeed a following for these fast, sporty cars in Singapore. However, there might be much red-tape to go through before we are able to get in on the full-fledged Tesla scene.
