Customer claims Nam Kee Chicken Rice stall overcharged for meal

A Facebook user has claimed that the Nam Kee Chicken Rice stall at 201 Upper Thomson Road, had overcharged him. In calling them “cheats”, the netizen, Aikawa Nakamura, cautioned the public from buying food from the stall.

Aikawa said she was charged a price which was different from the one stated in the menu, and that she was charged two-times more. When Aikawa and her companions questioned the staff, they were told that the menu reflected an old price range.

“Our meal was supposed to be $7 per person, but our bill totaled to $23,” she said.

“It was supposed to (be) $3 for a plate of chicken rice (and) the ice Milo drink was supposed to only cost $1.50, but they billed us as $2,” she added.

Aikawa said the food and service were terrible, and that the staff were also rude.

Commenting on her own post, Aikawa added that she went on to the stall’s Facebook page and found out that the business received a fair share of bad ratings for their food and services.
