The Police have arrested a 49-year-old man who is believed to be involved in a case of causing hurt with dangerous weapons.
On 25 March 2017 at about 1.30pm, Police received a report informing that the man was assaulting a shop owner in the vicinity of Cambridge Road. The man then fled the scene. The 60-year-old shop owner suffered injuries to his head and left arm.
Through extensive enquiries and ground work, officers from Tanglin Division managed to establish the identity of the suspect and he was arrested in the vicinity of Spooner Road on 28 March 2017. Investigations are ongoing.
Anyone convicted for causing hurt by dangerous weapons or means shall be punished with imprisonment for a term which may extend to 7 years, or with fine, or with caning, or with any combination of such punishments.
