So said a campaigner from the Singapore Democratic Party. So this kaypoh decided to deck out like Danny the democracy bear, make the one-hour journey to Bukit Gombak stadium on polling day night and hang out with SDP’s supporters.
As the night drew on, the announcement of the by-election sample count results put the elated crowd in a more sombre mood. But when Dr Chee Soon Juan appeared to address the crowd, thanking them for staying the night, the cheers started all over again.
