NCMP Leon Perera: East Coast resident emigrating because there is no political balance in Singapore

Non-Constituency Member of Parliament (NCMP) Leon Perera visited the constituency he contested in at the last election yesterday. He shared some pictures of this visit to East Coast constituency, and shared the thoughts of some the residents there.
During his visit, he had to explain to a resident that it may not be easy to organise grassroots events and parties in wards that are held by the People’s Action Party. Another resident, to his surprise, treated the entire team of volunteers from the opposition party to snacks.
The NCMP expressed that he was especially saddened by one resident who said that he was emigrating because there is no political balance in Singapore.
“I asked him to reconsider, but told him that my best wishes are with him and his family whatever he decides”, the NCMP said.
