WP’s Nicole Seah and husband welcome baby girl

Workers’ Party politician Nicole Seah announced a new addition to the family on Thursday, writing, “It’s a girl!” in a Facebook post.

Ms Seah, 35, and her husband, Bryan, also have another daughter who was born in 2018. Ms Seah posted a photo of her with her husband and the newborn.278579727 570398008081645 8140197408944981233 n

She did not give her second daughter’s full name or the date of birth, but identifies  her only as Baby N.

With the new addition, life has been “a flurry of night feeds and diaper changes whilst recovering from delivery”, said Ms Seah.

“Today my husband casually remarked that it’s the eve of a public holiday and I mistakenly thought it was still Tuesday! Guess it will take a while before everything settles down and returns to regular programming,” she added.

Ms Seah described her experience as a second-time new mum this way: “Everything feels familiar but new at the same time.”

She said it’s been “extra cute” to see her older child help out with the new little sister – from telling her mother to eat more vegetables to increase her milk production to  helping to burp her baby sister.

Ms Seah added that for their family, this little one is the final addition.

“Being second time (and last time) parents has also allowed us to better appreciate the milestones and moments, knowing it will be the last time and we are ‘closing factory’ after this!

“Thank you to all for the well wishes over the past few months, and the encouraging advice I received on parenting with two kids. Our hearts have expanded and we’re so looking forward to watch both sisters grow up together.”

The popular politician, a member of the WP’s Central Executive Committee (CEC) as president of its youth wing, has been active on the ground in East Coast GRC for the past few years.

The WP slate – Ms Seah, Mr Kenneth Foo, Mr Abdul Shariff Aboo Kassim, Mr Terence Tan and Mr Dylan Ng –  contested East Coast GRC in the 2020 General Election, winning a respectable 46.61 per cent of the vote against the ruling People’s Action Party’s 53.39 per cent.

Congratulations and good wishes have poured in from commenters who have viewed Ms Seah’s post.
