Man says that instead of sporty girl he saw online, he met date whose “figure looks more like someone who binge watches Netflix 4,5 hours”

A man who met a girl on a dating website realised that she was not like her profile when he took her out for coffee.

The man, who griped about his uneventful date in an anonymous post on popular confessions page NUSWhispers said that he and the girl had similar interests, which was why he decided to meet her.

“Turns out she’s such a liar”, he wrote. He shared that online, she told him she was a fan of sports but when she met him, he quickly realised that she did not understand any of the terms commonly used when talking about sports.

“She told me she exercises 4,5 times a week like me but sorry to say, her figure looks more like someone who binge watches Netflix 4,5 hours a day”, he wrote, adding that it seemed like she airbrushed away “half of her body”.

He wrote that, while he was willing to take her as a new friend, he did not appreciate her lying.

“And what’s with the ton of make up and mountain of fake eyelashes? It’s so distracting and vulgar looking. I don’t know why some girls think it’s attractive”, he added. He said that he may not have been the best looking himself, but he did not lie about who he was.

Ranting, he continued: “What’s the point of lying about your looks and interests when the truth will be revealed when we meet? What a waste of my time. It’s impossible to meet anyone decent. I should just give up on all these stupid dating apps”.

Netizens who commented on his post felt that he was being a little too harsh. After all, they said, he had only met her for coffee and not even dinner. Many also advised that he just move on and accept that she was not his cup of tea.
