Malaysia ― Hit K-drama Squid Game has now become a hot topic, and Malaysian actor Nadhir Nasar is enjoying a new type of fame thanks to netizens comparing him to an actress in the series.

The actor, whose full name is Ahmad Nadhir Ahmad Nasar is said to resemble player number 067 who is played by model-actress Jung Ho Yeon in the Netflix series.

And yes, you read that right. She is a female character.

According to mStar – The Star’s Malay-language portal, Nadhir admitted that he saw the TikTok video showing the resemblance between him and Jung’s character.

“If people can see the similarities, I guess it must be there,” he said.

Furthermore, the 24-year-old figures that netizens think they resemble each other due to their face shape, messy hairstyle and maybe their unsmiling features. However, not everyone thinks the same. Some netizens took to Twitter to post harsh comments on the comparison between Jung and Nadhir, reported The Star.

“I did see a number of negative comments, stating that I am not the same ‘level’ as Jung Ho-yeon and the comparison is uncalled for,” said the Projek Anchor SPM actor.

Whether it’s true or not true, the Hero Remaja 2020 winner has decided to just let it be and not make a big deal out of it.

In Squid Game, Kang Sae-byeok (Jung) is a character who is too busy trying to make extra money to care about how she looks – hence her appearance is far from best.
