Angelina Jolie’s son Maddox is furthering his studies in South Korea

Hollywood star Angelina Jolie’s eldest son is going to attend college in South Korea at the end of the month.

Maddox Chivan Jolie-Pitt, her adopted son who just turned 18 will be attending the prestigious Yonsei University in Seoul according to People.

“He got accepted into other universities, but chose Yonsei,” the insider said.

Maddox will be studying biochemistry at Yonsei University and it is one of Korea’s “SKY” universities (an acronym for South Korea’s three most prestigious universities).

American-based KPop culture blog, Allkpop reported that Maddox learned more about Korean culture and language by taking Korean classes.

He is also very interested in KPop.

“He has been studying the Korean language and has lessons multiple times a week to prepare.”
44-year-old Jolie is proud of her son and she will be dropping Maddox off in South Korea at the end of the month.
She will miss him but she is still proud of him.

Maddox may be far away from their family home in America but he is close to the family’s Cambodian home and his younger siblings, Pax, Zahara, Shiloh and twins Knox and Vivienne hope to visit him soon.

He made his choice to attend a South Korean institution at the end of last year when he was spotted out and about with Jolie visiting universities in the country, during his mom’s official visit as the UNHCR’s Special Envoy.

Maddox was adopted by Jolie on 10 Mac, 2002 when he was seven-months-old from an orphanage in Battambarg, Cambodia.

His real name is Rath Vibol and he was born 5 Aug 2001 in a local village.

Out of his siblings, two were adopted and three are biological.
