Police are investigating after a man was purportedly caught on camera taking upskirt shots of a female who was accompanying him. The incident occurred at a multi-storey carpark at 18 Tai Seng on yesterday afternoon and was caught by an eyewitness who had been sitting in his car at the carpark.
The eyewitness, Kenneth Tan, told a local citizen journalism portal that he saw what happened as the man, the supposed victim and another person walked past his car and that his dashboard camera caught the incident on tape:
“I was in my car talking on the phone when a group of three people walked past. I thought I saw a man trying to take upskirt pictures of his female companion, but because it happened so quickly, I couldn’t be sure. It was only when I downloaded my car cam’s video files that my suspicions were confirmed.”
In the video, a man can be seen walking behind a female acquaintance before bending down and pointing what looks to be a cell phone under her dress.
Light can be seen coming from the cell phone and reflecting on the woman’s legs as the man bends further and continues pointing the device under her dress, before he stands back up and walks away.
Tan immediately made a police report and shared that he hopes the woman involved can be informed of what happened. The Singapore Police Force have confirmed that investigations are ongoing.
