Singapore Prime Minister Lee Hsien Loong has indicated in social media that his top moments of 2018 include the US-North Korea summit that Singapore hosted and meeting his Malaysian counterpart Dr Mahathir Mohamad after his historic election win across the causeway.

PM Lee released a video highlighting his top moments from each of the 12 months of 2018. The video lists the top moments of 2018 as such:

  • Top moment of January – Launched Singapore’s ASEAN chairmanship
  • Top moment of February – Ushered in the Year of the Dog (Chingay 2018)
  • Top moment of March – Met overseas Singaporeans in 2018
  • Top moment of April – Singapore goes for gold in the Commonwealth Games
  • Top moment of May – Met with Dr Mahathir after his election win
  • Top moment of June – Hosted the DPRK-US Singapore summit
  • Top moment of July – Singapore marched in France’s Bastille Day Parade
  • Top moment of August – Announced the Merdeka Generation Package at National Day Rally 2018
  • Top moment of September – Celebrated 50 years of the RSAF
  • Top moment of October – Signed the EU-Singapore Free Trade Agreement
  • Top moment of November – A busy week hosting the 33rd ASEAN summit
  • Top moment of December – And off to Argentina for G20
