Singapore – This is yet another story to add to the growing number of examples where youths commit uneducated acts on camera. On December 27, Thursday, a young man was caught on tape as he started to slice the tarpaulin-looking cover of the Lorong Halus Bridge in Punggol. His friends watched while one filmed the whole thing. The video was later uploaded through an Instagram story. The username and account details were kept private.
About 14 hours later and having seen his actions going viral, the youth posted another story showing an apology which can be seen below:
“I am sorry for what i have done tdy. i know i shoudn’t have did what I did at RB amd wear the kamikaze jacket. i should have been mature enough to think what is right and what is wrong. i admit that the thing i did was a crime as it counts under vandalism to public property. i hope that you guys will not take any action against my stupidity. i hope you guys won’t press charges on me. and i would like to say sorry again as i thought that it was a childish act to look cool. i hope that the fixed community would accept my apology.”
At least the guy apologised and saw the stupidity of his ways, unlike his predecessors who justified their actions without a trace of remorse.
Although, his smug face, as he was vandalising public property just to look cool, does not seem to match his apologetic character which only appeared after he got caught and reprimanded by the online community.
Netizens are calling the attention of authorities to come down hard on this youth and to make him learn his lesson.
