ESM Goh presents biography to President Halimah; says PM Lee will launch the book

Emeritus Senior Minister Goh Chok Tong has revealed that Prime Minister Lee Hsien Loong will launch his biography on Thursday, as he presented a copy of the book to President Halimah Yacob.

Sharing a photo of himself giving President Halimah a copy of the book, ESM Goh wrote on Facebook, last Friday: “This afternoon, I presented a copy of my biography, Tall Order, by Peh Shing Huei, to President Halimah Yacob. The book will be launched on 8 November by Prime Minister Lee Hsien Loong.”

Written by former Straits Times journalist Peh Shing Huei, the authorised biography entitled Tall Order: The Goh Chok Tong Story covers Goh’s life until the point he becomes the nation’s second Prime Minister in 1990.

A second part is expected to cover the rest of Goh’s life and career after he succeeded founding PM Lee Kuan Yew to become head of Government.

The biography, which is presently available at all major bookshelves, garnered immense hype after excerpts covering Goh’s thoughts on Lee Kuan Yew, his family members and veteran opposition figures were released online:
