A 26-year-old man earning about $20,000 to $25,000 monthly wanted to find “a significant other with the same frequency”.

In an anonymous post on confessions page SGWhispers, the man wrote that he had been single for about five years now and had two income streams. He added that he did not own any branded goods and drove a humble car.

Describing himself, he said that he had always been a hard worker with no days off. He excelled at everything except dating.

“Been on a few dating apps and meet ups but no offence, the ones there are brain dead or bimbos with no fire, drive or passion. I’ve always thought, maybe, the girls I’m looking for just don’t have the time for all of this”, the man wrote.

He added that he tried to find someone in the same industry he worked in, but it was male dominated and he found that  “locals aren’t very opened to the idea of having strangers talk to them cos although they say they want new friends, when someone approaches them they think that only their body is wanted”.

He asked netizens for ideas on where he could start in finding a partner.

Here’s what they said:

Earlier this month, a man in his late 30s who was married with one child wrote in a Facebook post that he was frustrated because he failed to plan his financial journey.

The man, who referred to himself as being in the middle class, earned “30k a month, and my wife is around 15k a month”.

He added: “We are staying in a humble resale HDB flat in Punggol, with no maid. We basically save more then we spent, but I just cant help thinking why I am not rich at all”.

The man went on to explain how his friend who bought a Built-To-Order flat managed to sell it and make a profit of $200,000, allowing him to buy an Executive Condominium (EC). He added that his friend and wife now own a condominium each, whereas he was still residing in an HDB flat.

In his post, he added: “I am so dumb not to just use 1 owner, and 1 essential occupier for the HDB, now i can[‘]t use just 1 person name to buy a condo to avoid ABSD.
