Woman angry with foodpanda delivery rider after receiving spilt order

A woman who ordered food online took to social media after it arrived all spilt inside the bag with the foodpanda delivery rider neglected to tell her.

She posted about how upset she was with foodpanda on the COMPLAINT SINGAPORE Facebook page, especially since this had happened twice in one day and also because she found little help from the company’s help chat.

Ms Maryanne Felicia Shamini wrote on Saturday (Dec 2), “foodpanda  wtf is this? Your rider handed me this bag without even having the integrity to tell me that everything is spilled inside! I had to open and to find out for myself. This is the second time, today,  I am receving spilled items from your rider. The first was just the drink but this time everything including the food. I was eagerly waiting as did not had my dinner and was so hungry but only to be shocked, disappointed, frustrated receive this trash. Contacted your help chat and all they could do is to provide me a refund and keep making false assurance that they will highlight the matter to the relevant team because I don’t see any improvements.”

Adding that foodpanda’s “services just keep getting worse,” Ms Maryanne also suggested that the company’s delivery riders receive re-training regarding the correct handling of food, presumably to prevent it from spilling.

Commenters on her post, however, told her that the spillage was likely the fault of the merchant rather than the delivery rider.

And when a netizen commenting on Ms Maryanne’s post also appeared to blame food delivery riders for mistakes in people’s orders, commenters again said that merchants are responsible for these mistakes.
