No problem, if you are the motorcyclist featured in this Beh Chia Lor – Singapore Road Facebook page recently.

He grasped the problem immediately, decided to lend a hand, got off his bike, and, still wearing his helmet, directed traffic.

Thisraffic  episode showing great initiative and  community spirit happened last Friday  evening at a tjunction in Sengkang, and highlighted on Facebook on Feb 19.

No surprise that it’s been viewed over 41,000 times since then.

It was fortunate for motorists that this unknown road user decided  to stop what he was doing and make a difference.

The traffic situation was far from simple.  From the screenshots, it seems that a car and a taxi got into an accident at the junction of Sengkang East Road and Sengkang East Way.

To make matters worse, the traffic light was not working.

So a Good Samaritan steps up, the young man in a black t-shirt and brown pants walks up to the junction and begins to direct traffic.

A netizen on a bus at the junction caught it on camera  and posted the video to Facebook.

He captioned the video: “Kudos to the motorcyclist who helped to guide the traffic at the junction between Sengkang East Road and Sengkang East Way in the midst of an accident between a car and taxi, and traffic light not working. Date and time: 18 Feb 2022, 7pm”

Other netizens heaped praise on the motorcyclist for stopping to assist while waiting for the traffic police to arrive.

More than one commenter suggested that he might be an off-duty traffic cop.

“Not easy to Marshall traffic,” another netizen observed.
