S’porean actress Kimberly Chia gives birth to baby boy

Kimberly Chia announced in an Instagram post on May 4 that she has just had a baby boy.
Married to a businessman husband, the actress also revealed the baby’s unique name, Kyzen.

Posting a photo of herself holding her son, Chia, 26 wrote; “So… the last few days was wild. Welcome to our world, Kyzen. She also promised followers more posts about her pregnancy journey and confinement period.

The former SQ girl who is known for her role in Mediacorp drama Live Your Dreams shared her thoughts openly. “I have been taking a few days to process everything that has happened. But honestly, no words can summarize how I feel now, still can’t believe my baby has finally come out to meet us. I love him so much already. Will continue updating more on my labour story, confinement and everything that is to come!”

When she announced her pregnancy last year, Chia had also shared the baby’s gender at a gender reveal party.

“Many have asked me which gender I preferred and honestly it didn’t really matter to me. I’ll be grateful as long as our baby is healthy!” Chia had said. The actress got married last year, she met her husband nine years ago.

Chia has been reticent in the past about giving out details about her businessman husband and father of Kyzen saying that he was someone who would rather keep a low profile.

The actor, singer, host and dancer is managed by NoonTalk Media. She started her career as a child model at age 3 and in later years became a runway model for fashion shows. She also acted in several MediaCorp dramas from age 9. Her first major role was in Fighting Spiders in 2009. She then rose to fame in On the Fringe 2011 and subsequently went on to star in Singaporean movie Timeless Love directed by Lim Koong Hwee and Dasmond Koh.

In 2016, Chia released her first single Love Radio making her singing debut.
