Singapore — A teen tried to prank a carpark intercom operator, pretending it was a McDonald’s drive-thru. He gets told off and warned that the police would be alerted.

Facebook page Beh Chia Lor – Singapore Road uploaded a video of the incident on Tuesday (Nov 16), featuring a prank that quickly became a nuisance.

“Can I get two McSpicy meals?” asked the teenager through the carpark intercom. “McSpicy meal?” repeated the carpark operator.

“You don’t know there’s a CCTV there?” the operator added.

The teen confirms the camera’s presence and does a peace sign in its direction as if to indicate no harm was meant.

The operator then tells the teen and his friend to leave before the police are alerted.

However, the teen says, “Okay, take care, have a good night, bye”, and presses the intercom button once more to symbolise ending a call.

The carpark operator then tells the group that the police have arrived and are aware of the prank. Meanwhile, the teen tells the operator to relax.

The young man tells the operator to have patience, sarcastically adding “Assalamualaikum,” which means “peace be upon you.”

After replying to the greeting, the operator senses that the teen was not sincere and informs them that their photos would be submitted to the authorities.

The teen was heard repeating the same phrase a few more times before ending the video while he smiled at the camera.
