Netizen: “I can’t believe this is S’pore HDB flat… Very disgusting & smelly” rubbish bin next to lift area

A netizen who goes by Stephen Kim on Facebook shared a photo of the area beside the ground floor lift at his HDB, where large pieces of litter, including furnishings, surrounded the rubbish bins, which were full to overflowing.

“Very disgusting and smelly every day need to pass by this area, and I can not believe this is Singapore HDB flat, the dustbin area just next to the lift that we need to take everyday…” he wrote in a post on the COMPLAINT SINGAPORE Facebook page on Tuesday (May 17).

He then asked the Tanjong Pagar Town Council to ”do something about” the messy dustbin area next to the lift at Block 37 Jalan Rumah Tinggi.

Surprisingly, other netizens from the same constituency, as well as those from Tampines, Yishun, Canberra, and others commented that the situation is the same where they live.

Others, however, said that residents also need to take responsibility, especially when it comes to keeping spaces clean and having bulky furnishings taken away properly.

However, it appears that the issue has been resolved, because, in one of the most recent comments, a netizen wrote the rubbish was gone.
